The Flood, Her Rain, and My Table

Concept
When the Monsoon Season came at the end of the year, the endless pouring rain will embrace every single space outside the cozy corner that keep my body warm and dry. The rainwater will start to fill up the ground, and sometimes flooding. 

I would like to express the idea of “running water” in my memories through substituting the tabletop with a layer of “water”. The uneven curving surface of the tabletop will dismiss the functional element of a table that allows displaying the tableware appropriately. 

Being suggested as a piece of furniture in an outdoors space, and also a piece of sculpture in the park, the juxtaposition between these two overlapped ideas demonstrate a new approach towards contemporary art & design.
