The exhibition <Rainbow Asia> is organized with a theme Multiculturalism.
Mobility is one of the feature human has, which becomes the main cause of multicultural phenomenon and it shows various features depending on social and personal understanding. Recently the number of Asians who have been flowed in Korea is increasing more and more and it brings about huge changes in many ways including their own traditional convention, the religious and social custom, and the lifestyle. This phenomenon has affected our culture and society, too. There is, for sure, much room for discussion about the reflection of art on this kind of social phenomenon.
The experience from the multicultural phenomenon and Diaspora necessarily comes to be accompanied by cross-culture phenomenon and it inevitably makes it possible to broaden the genres of art. That is, cross-culture leads to the study on multiculturalism, which will ultimately develop more abundant boundary of art.
